JUDI HILL
Judi Hill is the current President of the Akron NAACP and a lifelong advocate for equity, education, and civic engagement.
She will serve as the keynote speaker at Nazareth’s 2025 Annual Breakfast.
A native of Oberlin, Ohio, Judi Hill spent over 30 years with Akron Public Schools as a teacher, curriculum designer, and administrator. Since retiring, she has continued to shape Akron’s future through leadership and service.
As the 28th President of the Akron NAACP, she champions civil rights, racial justice, and community empowerment. She also serves on the board of Leadership Akron, where she was honored with the 2023 Distinguished Leader Award for her transformative impact across the region.
Judi’s work spans education, public safety, and health equity, including her role in passing Issue 10 to establish Akron’s citizen police oversight board. She is a member of multiple civic boards, a Guardian Ad Litem for Summit County, and a proud wife, mother, and grandmother. Her voice continues to galvanize Akron toward a more inclusive and equitable future.

Nazareth Housing Development Corporation is proud to celebrate a year of transformation, resilience, and growth. In 2025, we:
- Completed our full 20-unit quota for the Akron Home Repair Program
- Helped 18 tenants transition toward homeownership
- Sold three renovated homes in Kenmore and prepared two more in North Hill
- Launched Nazareth Construction Company, LLC to expand lead-safe renovations
- Completed major upgrades at five properties in our first year of construction operations
- Introduced a workforce training program to grow the pool of licensed lead hazard reduction contractors
- Strengthened partnerships with the City of Akron, Summit County Land Bank, and other local agencies
These milestones reflect our unwavering commitment to housing equity, community revitalization, and economic opportunity.

Nazareth is preparing to lead the charge on the 2025 Lead Safe Akron Grant, with a goal to complete 35 lead hazard reduction units over the next four years. We’re closing funding gaps, expanding our reach, and building a future where every family has access to safe, affordable housing.
